New tutorial for yesterdays look!

Hey guys! I just finished a photo tutorial for the look I had in yesterdays review! You can find it here!

  1. I saw your review on r/mua the other day, and I absolitely love your blog! You have such good quality clean pictures, can I ask what camera you use? I can see that you just started blogging recently, so what made you want to start? Im a newbie too, started around the beginning of February. I would love if you took a look at my blog ❤

    Best, Jen

    1. Thankyou so much! you’re too sweet. I use the Canon 700D, and its a fantastic investment. As long as you’ve got some decent natural light, you don’t have to put any effort into the photo at all. Absolutely foolproof, which is great because I’m a bit of a fool when it comes to technology.

I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a little while, and I suppose the planets aligned or some shit a couple of days ago and I finally took the plunge.

I’m taking next semester off uni and am going to a makeup school to do a 6-month diploma in Specialist Makeup Services, so this is going to kind of serve as documentation/a time line of my skill progress. It’s my goal to one day become a professional makeup artist, and I think having this record may prove useful one day.

Your blog is great! Very informative. Would you mind if I asked you some questions about the Clarisonic? I’ve been thinking of making the plunge.

      1. Lucky! I use a Nikon J1 but I really want to invest in a legit DSLR. Awe and thats great! Im just about to graduate with my bachelors, and really hope some day in the future to get some sort of professional makeup schooling. Thank you so much! And definately! Ask away ^.^

      2. The canon seriously changed my life. It’s such a beautiful camera, and it does all the hard work for you. Unbelievably easy!

Okay, so I really need to know what the bristles feel like! I have super sensitive skin, and I’d love to invest in one, however if my skin is irritated too much it turns into a giant red blotchy mess. Are they SUPER soft? or scratchy? How would you best describe them?

      3. uhm i have the normal brush head, however they do make one for sensitive skin. I have very dry skin and it does get red after using the Clarisonic but its not too bad. I only use it once a day, at night, and think it does the job just fine although it says you can use it twice a day without it being too irritating. The normal bristle head feels slightly softer than the bristles on a toothbrush if that makes it easier to grasp how it feels. However when you use it, only that center part vibrates (or whatever it does) so its easy to control how much exfoliating youre actually doing. You can try to brush a little lighter on your skin while you work around your face. Also I would look into the Lotus, as well as a Konjac sponge. I have heard great things about both of them and actually will be picking up one of the sponges soon!
